Sumsub Recognized as an Associate Member by EGBA

The European Gambling and Betting Association (EGBA) has acknowledged identity verification and anti-fraud platform Sumsub as an Associate Member.

Sumsub’s membership with EGBA is described as a strategic partnership, reinforcing “the joint commitment of both parties to fostering a safe and secure online gaming and betting environment in Europe.”

As an Associate Member, Sumsub contributes its identity verification expertise to support EGBA’s efforts to enhance awareness of identity verification and promote high KYC and fraud prevention standards.

Chris Galloway, Head of iGaming Products at Sumsub said: “We are honored to join EGBA as an Associate Member and collaborate with industry leaders to drive innovation and compliance in the online gaming sector in Europe. As the regulatory landscape continues to evolve, we remain committed to providing operators and platforms with cutting-edge solutions tailored to their players’ user profiles. This will enable them to improve efficiency while ensuring safety, transparency, and security.”

Sumsub offers a “full-service platform” that integrates user verification, fraud, and compliance solutions, helping operators streamline customer onboarding processes while ensuring regulatory compliance. Operators can leverage Sumsub’s suite of solutions to “protect the entire player lifecycle, mitigate fraud risks, and meet regulatory standards across their platforms.”

Secretary General of EGBA Maarten Hajer added: “We are delighted to welcome Sumsub as an Associate Member and look forward to working with their team. The addition of their identity verification expertise will be extremely valuable to our association as we continue our efforts to promote a safe, secure, and sustainable online gaming and betting environment in Europe. By opening our membership to companies like Sumsub, we aim to better unify the voice of the industry.”

Last month, EGBA celebrated the completion of a new European Union anti-money laundering framework, believing that standardized rules and reporting requirements would benefit online gambling operators.
