Starting March 27, 2026, mandatory deductions will be introduced on bets in Kazakhstan. Under a government decree, a 3.3% charge will be applied to every wager.
The new requirement comes from Government Decree Number 167 under the Gambling Business Law of Kazakhstan. It will create a central method of collecting a portion of each bet and processing it using a centralized betting accounting system.
When the money is collected, it will be divided among several areas.
- 45% of the total will be supplied to the development of physical culture and sports through a single nationwide operator.
- 21% will be allocated to the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Kazakhstan to help fund Olympic sports.
- 21% will also go to the public fund called “Kazakhstan Khalkyna.”
- 13% will cover the operating expenses of both the centralized accounting system and the organization that manages it.
Deductions are going to be processed using a centralized system for real-time processing, where you can collectively track contributions and redistribute them to their intended destination.
Kazakhstan is taking this step as part of efforts to strengthen its oversight of the betting industry and to collect gambling revenues for public and sports-related programs.
Also, this follows previous reports of delays in deposits and withdrawals as operators adjust to new payment and compliance requirements.
