Evolution has unveiled a new addition to its live game show portfolio – Ice Fishing, set in an Arctic environment. Players spin a 53-segment wheel, where landing on a leaf awards an instant cash prize, while other segments can trigger one of three uniquely themed bonus rounds.
Multiplier boosts can also land during the main game and carry through to the bonus round, boosting the potential maximum win to x5000 the player’s bet.
Todd Haushalter, Evolution’s Chief Product Officer, said: “We’ve wanted to create a speed game show for a long time, as we’re seeing a growing audience that craves faster, more instantly gratifying formats. It’s a trend not unlike the rising preference for TikTok-style shorts over long-form video. Ice Fishing is our take on that idea. It’s fast, fun, and packed with dramatic gameplay.”
The three bonus games Lil’ Blues, Big Oranges and Huge Reds, offer its own gameplay style and have a multiplier potential of up to x100, x200 and x500 respectively.
During the bonus games, the host drops a fishing reel and hauls up fish that each carry an associated multiplier, revealing the player’s catch gradually.
“There are little surprises and bursts of excitement woven into the entertainment experience, and we think players will enjoy uncovering them. We’re genuinely excited about this format, as it opens the door to a new style of rapid game show with strong potential,” added Haushalter.
The launch of Ice Fishing comes on the heels of another success for Evolution, as the company dominated the European game charts by Eilers-Fantini in July, securing the top spot across all games. Its Live Dealer Roulette and Live Dealer Blackjack also ranked among the top five.
The analysis was based on data from 83 websites across 19 countries, gathered as part of a new European iGaming statistics initiative launched by Eilers-Fantini in early 2025.
