Sports broadcaster Setanta Sports has responded to the increasing demand for sports content in the Baltics and is now expanding its broadcasting, launching a second channel this September.
Since 2014, Setanta Sports has maintained its television presence in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. However, in 2022, OTT sports platform setantasports.com debuted in the Baltics, providing fans with a new way to watch live sports.
The desire to create an additional channel in the region was motivated by the active interaction of viewers with local athletes, especially at basketball and tennis tournaments, as well as in the major leagues.
From the start of the 2023/2024 season, fans will be able to follow games from professional basketball leagues in Italy, Turkey and Saudi Arabia on Setanta Sports channels and via the OTT platform.
After nine years of experience in the Baltics, it is clear that sports fans want more live broadcasts and a variety of sports content. With this in mind, from September 1, residents of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia can enjoy constant broadcasts, selections and highlights on the new Setanta Sports 2 TV channel.
