GambleAware’s latest annual Harm to Players and Families survey reveals data that includes an assessment of whether players were exposed to gambling during childhood and at what age. The results of a YouGov survey conducted on a representative sample of 18,000 adults showed that 64% of those who experience significant harm from gambling reported acquaintances who gambled in their childhood. Comparatively, 25% of adults who do not gamble reported having an acquaintance who gambled at a younger age. Among players who have significantly harmed themselves by engaging in gambling activities, the highest relapse rate (87%) is found among players who have previously been exposed to gambling.

The Master League, amateur football championship, and Betlive betting company signed a new two-year memorandum of collaboration on July 7 in Tbilisi, which provides for the development of football in Georgia’s capital and regions. B90 Holdings, a leading online sportsbook and casino operator, entered into a share acquisition agreement with Funko International to acquire Emwys AB. Emwys AB is a Swedish online gambling marketing company operating on a pay per click model. The total equity value of Emwys is estimated at €3.6 million (US$4 million) on a cashless and debt-free basis. The deal will be presented with EUR 500,000 in cash and EUR 250,000 in convertible credit notes, with the remainder paid at closing. The acquisition is expected to be completed by September 1, 2023.
ELA Games entered into a distribution agreement with BetConstruct, a leading provider of technology and solutions, allowing their games to be hosted on the BetConstruct platform. As part of this agreement, BetConstruct will integrate the developer’s game library into its aggregation platform, thus granting access to partner operators.
Hub88 integrated with ELA Games having gained access to a full set of resources for its aggregation platform. Through a single API integration, Hub88, the leading premium aggregation platform will offer a diverse selection of entertainment, tailored to suit the interests of different audiences.
Light & Wonder expanded its OpenGaming content aggregation platform to include games from Bang Bang Games. Through the deal, exclusive content from Bang Bang Games will be made available on the OpenGaming platform and distributed to operators worldwide using Playzido technology. The partnership will expand the content offering on the OpenGaming platform, while Bang Bang Games will increase its international presence and be able to quickly roll out localised content.
Push Gaming signed a deal with bet365, a major online casino company. This partnership is of great importance to the current development plans and plays an important role in expanding the geography of the gaming content provided by Push Gaming and its availability in new markets.
Nolimit City reaffirmed its commitment to «being present in as many regulated markets as possible» after successfully entering the Bulgarian market. The group’s latest expansion in Europe has been through strategic partnerships, though their names weren’t mentioned in a recent update provided by the game studio. The debut in the Bulgarian online casino ecosystem was made with the help of Evolution One Stop Shop’s own platform, which presents the group’s entire content package.
