Scientific Games have rolled out the new central gaming system for Latvijas Loto, helping them successfully transition from their legacy technology to the modern AEGIS system. This move sets up the operator for future growth adding a range of draw-styled games Eurojackpot, Vikinglotto, SuperBingo, Latloto 5/35, Keno and Loto5 to the existing product lineup offered by the lottery operator along with Scientific Games’s instant games or momentloterijas, as they are commonly referred to in the north-eastern European country.
Edgars Lediņš, Chairman of the Board of Latvijas Loto, commented: “We are extremely happy with our recent system conversion to more advanced technology. Scientific Games continues to provide superior products and services, making our decades-long partnership a true success. Our new central system will provide enhanced data security and flexibility to support Latvijas Loto through our next era of responsible growth to benefit the Latvian state budget, as well as separate education and sports programs for Latvian children and youth.”
Scientific Games has entered into a 10-year contract to supply the company with high-performance WAVE X trading terminals and provide maintenance and support for the entire network of Latvijas Loto retailers. This partnership will ensure that the system functions reliably and will improve the lottery player experience.
Michael Conforti, President of International & Strategic Accounts for Scientific Games, noted: “We’re pleased that our collaboration with Latvijas Loto has resulted in a successful transition to a new central system to power lottery sales in Latvia. The agility of the new system will allow Latvijas Loto the opportunity to grow and add new products and distribution channels in the coming decade.”
Scientific Games has been successfully working with Latvijas Loto for more than 20 years, providing systems and technology for retailers. As the largest provider of lottery technology in Europe, the company offers games, technology, analytics and services to 130 lotteries in 50 countries.
