SBC CIS Editorial Team is happy to present a quick recap of the gambling industry events, news, regulations and partnerships that happened last week. 

SBC announced the completion of the selection process for the 10th Anniversary SBC Awards 2023 taking place in September as part of the SBC Summit Barcelona. The shortlists include top companies in the industry that have achieved impressive results in a variety of categories, including operators, affiliates, suppliers and leaders. Betsson Group leads with nine nominations, followed by Sportradar and Evoplay with seven nominations each. Kaizen Gaming has six nominations, while OpenBet, CreedRoomz and Novibet each received five nominations. The awards evening will take place on Thursday, September 21, on the final day of the SBC Summit in Barcelona. The venue will be the legendary Caves Codorníu, the oldest cava company in Spain.

On Saturday Team Zinchenko and Team Shevchenko pulled off an exciting 2-2 draw at the historic Chelsea FC’s home arena Stamford Bridge as part of the UNITED24-organised charity football match to raise funds for rebuilding of a school in the north of Ukraine. More than 32,000 people attended the Stamford Bridge arena with millions tuning in live to watch the game on TV. UK bookmakers have noted that they are implementing a more «disruptive and distinctive» marketing strategy.
