AGCOM, the Media and Communications Authority of Italy, has summoned a €1.35m fine on X (formerly Twitter) for continuing to promote gambling advertisements and content to Italian audiences. A few weeks prior, Meta – the owner of Facebook – faced a similar sanction by the AGCOM of €5.58m over gambling content stemming from accounts active on the company’s Instagram and Facebook platforms.

In Georgia, 14,826 people with a gambling addiction are registered in the electronic database of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia. According to the information provided by the agency, 48 individuals were added to the list by court decision, while 14,778 did so voluntarily, based on their own application.

Digitain and KING.RS have entered into a new agreement, according to which the Serbian operator will use a turnkey solution from Digitan. This solution includes a betting platform that has over 1,000 in-house risk managers and sports traders.

Following the successful launch of its sports infotainment platform in Italy, Betsson.sport has entered into a strategic partnership with Francesco Totti – the “Roma” icon has become an ambassador for the brand. While, Spanish provider Codere is increasing its presence in the Mexican market by deepening its partnership with Monterrey Rayados football club and serving as the main sponsor of its women’s team.

Sportradar has partnered with the NBA to expand betting functionality on the NBA League Pass platform. Sports betting content, including point spreads, over-unders and money lines, is now seamlessly integrated into the live sports platform powered by Sportradar’s emBET OTT solution.

Stats Perform has extended its data licensing partnership with sports betting technology specialist Checkd Dev. The company – a part of Checkd Group – will work with its long-term partner and Opta data owner to enable licensed operators to embed Checkd Dev’s Opta data-powered Smart Acca interactive betting tool into market pages.

Abelson Odds is keen to expand its reach into Brazil, where the beautiful game and passion for football are popular. This point was emphasized by Chief Operating Officer Jeevan Jeyaratnam at the recent SBC Summit in Rio in a conversation with SBC News.

Entain Plc has disclosed additional information related to its legal challenge against Sports Entertainment Media BV and related parties involved in the valuation of its Netherlands subsidiary, BetCity.nl. The FTSE100 gambling group deems the value of BetCity.nl as being €68m-to-€156m less than its agreed deal with Sports Entertainment BV.

Lottstift, Norway’s Gambling Authority, has been granted ‘direct powers’ to order DNS and IP blocking of websites infringing on the laws of Norway’s Gambling Act. While, Penta Investments is considering the possibility of selling its gambling asset, Fortuna Entertainment Group (FEG).

NetBet Italy announces its new partnership with leading provider AGS. While, GiG has announced agreements with its iGaming platform CoreX and betting operator SportX expanding into the Spanish and Argentine markets.
