The SBC Summit Latinoamérica concluded its latest event at the Seminole Hard Rock & Casino, showcasing an impressive 33% increase in attendance, confirming the growing influence of the event in the region.

The Lithuanian parliament simply “new provisions” to be added to the Gambling Law. Ministers allow Lithuania to introduce a new “unified gambling level” of 21 years, which will come into force on July 1, 2025. The Ministry of Tourism and Sports, along with the Committee for the Regulation of Gambling and Lottery, have issued clarifications on these restrictions.

France is set to undertake a six-month consultation to assess whether the country will regulate online casino in 2025, thus drawing a line under the question of timing and whether the vertical could be regulated this year. While Dutch MPs have introduced a motion urging Curacao to strengthen gambling regulations and intensify anti-money laundering efforts.

President Bongbong Marcos has officially signed the Executive Order banning POGOs (Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators) in the Philippines.

Entain has announced Dafne Guisard as its new Chief Operations Officer, effective Jan. 13, 2025.

Game Lounge has entered the Dutch market with the acquisition of Meneer Casino. While Betway has decided to exit Brazil just a few months before the market’s planned regulatory launch in January.

PointsBet has dismissed rumors of an impending €185 million acquisition deal. While Aristocrat subsidiary Pixel United is selling its mobile gaming company Plarium Global to Modern Times Group (MTG) for $820 million, plus cash considerations.

Tabcorp has received a penalty of $262,920 after it took online in-play sports bets, which is illegal in Australia. While the decline in international visitors and reduced VIP revenues resulted in a drop in Genting Singapore’s gaming revenue compared to the same period last year.

Flutter Entertainment believes Q3 was an exceptional performance, with CEO Peter Jackson and CFO Rob Coldrake providing insight into key developments in key markets for Q4 and beyond. Additionally, Jackson said FanDuel will partner with Netflix to stream NFL Christmas games this holiday season.

Publishing its Q3 accounts, Super Group registered corporate revenues of €403M, up 13% on 2023 comparatives of €356M – as results “represent the highest revenue recorded in a third quarter.” While Sportradar AG has received a strong commercial boost and could reach revenues of over €1 billion after its IPO.
