In Malta, the Parliament approved Bill 55, which gives the Maltese courts the power to refuse recognition and enforcement of foreign persecution related to online gambling. Maltese courts will gain the power to refuse to recognize and apply enforcement action by foreign betting and gambling regulators in Malta. This is significant as Malta hosts a large number of both B2C and B2B betting and gambling companies active in various European and other markets.
International Gaming Standards Association supported the formation of a Responsible Gaming Committee to develop a worldwide standard, process and approach for predictive responsible gaming. The aim of the Committee is to provide support through the Responsible Gambling Maturity Model, which is a hierarchical structure that offers operators and regulators “a path from seed to quantification and a predictable RG model.” This model provides an opportunity for regulators and operators to “move from applying a basic policy to managing an accurate panel of quantitative data-driven KPIs” before eventually using “predictive and proactive detection capabilities”.
Aston Villa established a long-term partnership with BK8, which will become the club’s main partner in the Premier League, bringing together the online casino and sports betting brand. As part of a three-year deal, the BK8 branding will appear on the front of the club’s three official kits until the end of the 2025/26 season. In addition, BK8 will receive a number of promotional opportunities at Villa Park facilities that it will use to support various charity organisations throughout the upcoming season. BK8 is also planning various events to activate its brand, with the hope of supporting several local philanthropic initiatives in and around the Birmingham area.

The new tool eliminates bonuses from tournament results, focusing on players who brought real money to the casino and creating an incentive for active real money betting. The Product Lead, Tatyana Kaminskaya, emphasised that the introduction of the “Only for real money” setting increases the profitability of the game, boosts tournament engagement and optimises ROI.
Altenar, a leading provider of sportsbook and iGaming software, completed its next step in expanding globally by partnering with Palms Bet, which currently offers more than 20,000 sporting events, and is the first gambling company in Bulgaria to be listed on the Bulgarian stock exchange. Furthermore, the brand has a partnership with La Liga, highlighting its strength in football betting across Europe.
Podcast Review: Twitch Balancing Consumer Protection and Declining Viewership
In the latest episode of iGaming Daily podcast the host James Ross, together with CasinoBeats and SlotBeats’s Business Journalist Danny Lee delve into a discussion about the Twitch’s last year’s move to a new set of rules to address the consumer protection concerns. The platform made it clear that it would ban content from websites offering unlicensed slots, roulettes, or dice games that lacked sufficient consumer protection measures, both in the US and other applicable jurisdictions. The impact of these new regulations became evident through Twitchmetrics.net’s data, revealing a drastic decline in average viewership for the slots category. On October 17th, just a day before the implementation of the rules, the average viewership for the slots category stood at 67,715. However, within a mere 24 hours, these numbers plummeted by over 50% to an average of 30,063 viewers. The following day witnessed a further decline, with average viewership dropping to just under 9,000.
TotoGaming, an Armenian sports betting and casino operator, unveiled its new brand and announced plans to expand. TotoGaming launched its development plan, which includes replicating its successful experience in Armenia in other jurisdictions. Particular attention is paid to the competitive betting and gaming market in Romania.
Digitain strengthened its Paydrom platform by partnering with cryptocurrency payment service Bitcashier. Digitain is integrating Bitcashier’s solution into its Paydrom platform and partner networks, with a focus on providing combined services in Latin American markets. Paydrom is a new centralised payment management system designed to speed up, improve security and provide convenience for online transactions. The system provides more than 400 payment methods in 30 countries. Digitain aims to use Bitcashier to streamline day-to-day payment transactions for the ecosystem of their clients and partners.
7777 Gaming received a certificate to supply games in the Georgian market, opening the door for cooperation with the local online operators. The company noted that the Georgian sector of the gaming industry is similar to other Balkan markets where the supplier has already established itself successfully. 7777 Gaming’s main goal in Georgia is to attract, convert and retain new players in their clients’ online casinos by offering innovative and engaging content.
Evoplay and Sportingtech entered into a cooperation agreement to provide online casino content in Latin America. Evoplay will lend its rich portfolio of online casino games to Sportingtech in an effort to strengthen the platform’s presence in the region. Through a partnership with Evoplay, Sportingtech will add more than 10,000 titles to its game library, offering a wide range of entertainment options for operators in Latin America.
