SBC Summit Barcelona’s Player Protection Symposium is expected to bring together 15,000 delegates including top operators, regulators and executives to discuss the important aspect of player safety in the gaming and betting industry. This special player-focused track will take place on the second day of the event on September 21st, as part of the global betting and iGaming show at Fira de Barcelona Montjuïc. Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to a petition calling for the lifting of sanctions imposed on Parimatch. Earlier this year the brand had to terminate its B2C operations in Ukraine after being included in the list of companies that were sanctioned by the Ukrainian government for allegedly keeping ties with the aggressor-state. On his website, President Zelenskyy, posted a formal response to the aforementioned petition:
“I thank everyone who joined this petition for their active civic position. I requested the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal to carefully study the issue raised in the text of the petition and, if there are grounds, to take the necessary response measures.”
BetMGM reported positive EBITDA in Q2’2023. The brand expects FY 2023 revenue to be close to the upper bound of their forecast. The joint venture between MGM Resorts International and Entain announced net revenues of $944 million in their H1 2023 trading report, including a 25% increase from digital operations. The brand has also said it expects to match its revenue forecast range of $1.8 billion to $2 billion in FY 2023.
